About Us
We’re in this together
The non-profit EuroGames 2027 Munich e. V. was founded to organise the EuroGames 2027 in Munich. The Local Organising Committee (LOC) is made up of nine board members and an estimated 50 volunteer experts in various fields.
Through the support of the associations as well as Monaccord, the network of LGBTIQ+ choirs and ensembles in Munich, we combine a wealth of experience in the organisation and implementation of sports and cultural events of the LGBTIQ+ community. The board members are all equal. Based on the experiences from the EuroGames 2004 and Various Voices 2018, the board and LOC were established as equal democratic structures.

Why we want to Bid for a second time
The journey so far …
Our spirit to host major events in Munich has already accompanied us so many times: at the EuroGames 2004, the Various Voices Festivals 1997 and 2018, at numerous festivals of LGBTIQ+ sports clubs and other organisations. And of course at the annual Pride celebrations, most recently in 2023 with around 520,000 visitors – a new record!
However, it is not only the LGBTIQ+ community that is enthusiastic, but the entire population of Munich. This was recently impressively demonstrated at the European Championships. The largest multi-professional sporting event in Munich since the 1972 Olympic Games attracted more than one million visitors in August 2022 – to sporting events and celebrations in the Olympic Park and in many public squares in Munich.
Voices have long been raised that Munich is once again ready for an Olympic bid. We agree. But before that, we will once again stage the EuroGames 2027.
